Enjoy an 8-day journey in the region of Montenegro. On this wellness adventure, enjoy boat rides through the Bay of Kotor and Skadar Lake, bike riding down quaint villages and coastal towns, tasting authentic seafood with local families and learning about the degustation of olive oil. Day 1

Welcome To Montenegro

Welcome to Montenegro! Arrive at Podgorica International Airport and privately transfer to the Šipčanik wine cellar and Cermeniza Eco Resort near Podgorica. Podgorica is the capital and the largest city in Montenegro that boosts 108 bridges and offers a mixture of architectural styles that reflects the turbulent history of the city and country. The day & night-life offers unique opportunities to enjoy theatre plays and performances, music events and entertainment programs. On your way, stop at the Šipčanik wine cellar located in the ex-Yugoslav military airport, which was transformed into an impressive treasury of wine resembling French chateaux. 
After learning about the Montenegrin wines, transfer to Cermeniza Eco Resort, a family run property that combines traditional Montenegrin hospitality with modern facilities. Located in one of the most scenic places in the Crmnica area, the property offers panoramic views of Lake Skadar. The resort is divided into 6 beautiful villas, with a swimming pool, entertainment area and ample room to enjoy daily wellness activities. 
Join those traveling for dinner on property before spending the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 2

Discover Skadar Lake

Start your day with an optional wellness activity and breakfast before exploring Virpazar Village. 
Virpazar is a small settlement on Lake Skadar, which belongs to the municipality of Bar and it is located in the heart of Crmnica region. The old part of Virpazar is interconnected by the bridges on the Oraovica and Virstica rivers, after which this settlement used to be called 'a town on three bridges'. 
Upon arriving in Virpazar, explore Skadar Lake by boat. The territory is shared between Montenegro and Albania with the majority of the lake being located in the Montenegro territory. Lake Skadar is also known as the biggest crypto-depression in the Balakan region, meaning that some parts of its bottom are below sea level. 
During the boat ride, spend lunch hosted by the local Vukasevic family in their own peninsula. 
The tavern is situated on a small private beach on the Skadar Lake and offers local specialties prepared in the traditional way. 
Upon returning to the resort, spend the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 3

Between The Lake And The Sea

After a morning wellness activity and breakfast at the resort, check out and depart for the Montenegrin coast.
Along the way, stop at Budva Old Town. Budva is thought to be 2,500 years old making it one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast. Nowadays, the winding streets of Budva Old Town offer a charming atmosphere with narrow streets, stone houses, small squares and dotted churches throughout. 
On the tour of Budva, learn about the Old Greek Necropolis and stop at the Archeological Museum, The Square of Churches and The Citadel Fortress.
Later in the evening, check in at Palazzo Radomiri where you will spend the next five nights. Palazzo Radomiri is housed in a magnificent early 18th century baroque palace that has been transformed into a charming boutique hotel on the coast with its own mooring facilities. The original appearance and features of the building have been carefully restored, blending existing features with modern design and functionality. You can enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere in the traditionally decorated rooms with exposed stone walls and admire the magnificent views of the charming bay. 
Spend the afternoon and evening enjoying the amenities where you can sip a refreshing drink at one of the beautiful lounges, soak up the sun while partaking in a wellness activity on the pier, or relax in the pool using the counter current swimming jet.

Day 4

Bike Through The Coastal Town In Boka Bay

Start your morning off with a wellness activity overlooking the Kotor Bay followed by a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. 
Later in the morning, explore the town of Kotor by bike. The first stop on the tour is in the Old Town of Kotor, which was built between the 12th and 14th century. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have made Kotor an UNESCO listed “World Natural and Historical Heritage Site'. During your time in the Old Town you will also visit Saint Tryphon Cathedral, a Romanesque church consecrated in 1166, the maritime museum and Saint Nicola Church, the largest church in the region. 
After the visit to Old Town, continue exploring on bike through the picturesque coastal villages of Muo, Prcanj and Stoliv. The bike tour concludes in Tivat, Porto-Montenegro known as Monaco of Montenegro.
After being transferred back to the hotel, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to enjoy the hotel amenities and views of the bay.

Day 5

Discover Peninsula Lustica

Begin your morning with a wellness activity and breakfast. Afterwards, you will depart the hotel and head towards the Peninsula Lustica. Montenegro’s 182 miles of coastline comprises innumerable beaches and coves, many of which are only accessible by sea, plus a scattering of islands and fascinating historical sites. 
Compared to the rest of the coast, Lustica Peninsula is undeveloped and natural, providing you with what an authentic Montenegrin culture and lifestyle is all about.
Biking along the coastal backdrop of hills and mountains that sit behind Montenegro’s coast, is an exhilarating playground for anyone who enjoys nature, staying active and cycling alike. After a short bike ride through the peninsula, we will continue for lunch at an organic farm nearby. 
The Moric family has an organic olive farm and their main occupation is producing certified organic olive oil in Montenegro, branded as “Moric Organic”. As a family business for more than 3 centuries, the small farm covers around 15 acres and has roughly 1,000 olive trees that are more than 350 years old. Apart from the olive oil, there is also a production of table olives.
Spend lunch learning about the degustation of olive oil, daily life in Montenegro and enjoying an authentic meal with the Moric family before heading back to Palazzi Radomiri.

Day 6

The Beauty Of Sailing Through The Bay

Start your morning with a wellness activity and breakfast at the hotel before departing on a speed boat to discover the bay of Kotor. Gliding through the crystal-clear water is a real adventure as you feel wind in your hair and admire the beautiful towns hidden between the mountains and sea. 
Our first stop along the way is to visit the authentic organic mussel and oyster farm. Upon arrival, enjoy the home-made brandy as a welcome drink and presentation of the oyster farming process. Afterwards, you will have an oyster tasting with lemon directly from the sea, as well as mussels with a glass of home-made white wine or fruit juice. 
Continue by boat to Our Lady of the Rock, a picturesque islet off the shore of Perast. It was made by deliberate accumulation of stone pieces and old sunken ships loaded with stones around an existing rock. No visit would be complete without making a wish by throwing the rock in the sea and letting the magic happen.
Our boat ride continues to the beautiful baroque town of Perast. It is surely one of the most beautiful places in Boka Kotorska. Its narrow streets and mostly abandoned baroque palaces show the history of the former richness of the bay of Boka Kotorska.
Return by the hotel for the remainder of the evening at leisure for you to explore Kotor on your own.

Day 7

Discover Historical And Cultural Heart Of Montenegro

Begin your morning with a wellness activity overlooking the beautiful Kotor Bay. After breakfast, you will choose your 4x4 and make your way to the National Park of Lovcen. Along the way, stop and take photos of the stunning Boka Bay that you experienced by boat the day prior.
The National Park of Lovcen is located in the rocky region of the Dinara Alps. Slopes of Mountain Lovcen steeply rise from the coastal region of Budva and western part of Cetinje. Lovcen is also known for “Black Mountain”, after which Montenegro got its name. 
After lunch at the traditional restaurant of Ivanov Konak you will head to Cetinje, the old royal capital of Montenegro. Cetinje is the most important cultural and historical center with many modern buildings designed for foreign consulates. Later in the afternoon, visit King Nikola’s Museum, within the residence of the last Montenegrin ruler Nikola I Petrovic Njegoš, in continuation of the tradition of collecting and carefully preserving the materials of the Montenegrin past. 
After parking the 4x4 vehicle, return to the hotel to freshen up before being transferred to a farewell local restaurant in Tivat to toast the end of your journey in Montenegro. Dinner will include a 3-course menu, wine, water, coffee or tea.

Departure
